Az első félévünkben a MOME-n, a Média stúdiumok tantárgy kereteiben világokat kellett alkotnunk. Született egy világ, ahol vakok élnek a fényben, látók a sötétben. Ahol a bőrüket levetve szaporodnak, ezért a szépség nagy érték. Ahol három platformon élnek, amiket egy óriás lift, a Levox köt össze. Ahol a fényben sziklás sivatag van, a sötétben pedig burjánzó dzsungel.

During our first semester at MOME, we had to create worlds as part of the Média Stúdiumok course. We created a world where the blind live in light and the sighted live in darkness. Where they reproduce by shedding their skin, so beauty is highly valued. Where they live on three platforms connected by a giant elevator, the Levox. Where there is a rocky desert in the light and a lush jungle in the dark.

A harmadik modulban különböző karaktereket kellett megalkotnunk. Nekünk az Astrova kívülálló karakterének kitalálása volt a feladatunk. De mitől is kívülálló az Astrován egy kívülálló?
A látók körében nagyon nagy érték a szép bőr. Ugyanis a reprodukció folyamata, hogy a sötét platformról felmennek a legfelső platformra, ahol a tűző napon transzba esnek. Ennek következtében elkezdik levedleni a bőrüket és ebben kezd el fejlődni az új élet. Az embriók ahogy növekednek szépen belenőnék a bőrbe, mígnem sajátjuké válik.
Emiatt a szépség nagy érték az Astrován, mert csak azokat engedik fel a fénybe, akiknek minél tökéletesebb bőrük van. Így a kívülállók fő csoportját a ráncos, bőrhibás látók teszik ki.
Az általunk megalkotott látó karakterével azonban kicsit más a helyzet, ugyanis ő egykor szép bőrű kiválasztott volt, de a fényben a levedleni való bőre ráégett, és bár túlélte, de utód nélkül és csúf testell kellett visszatérnie és szembenéznie a társadalom reakciójával.

In the third module, we had to create different characters. Our task was to come up with an outsider character for Astrova. But what makes an outsider an outsider in Astrova?

A storyboard elkészülte után már egyénileg kellett dolgoznunk, és újraalkotnunk a megfogalmazott történetet egy szabadon választott médiumban és mstílusban. Én a pixelanimációt vállasztottam.
